The Lazy Day Nachos

Some nachos are built for Instagram. Others are built for National Lazy Day.

Today is not about careful layering, artisan cheese blends, or hand-charred peppers. Today is about throwing whatever you’ve got onto a plate, pressing a few buttons, and eating without ever losing your spot on the couch.

It starts with chips—any chips. Maybe they’re slightly stale. Fine. Blanket them in shredded cheese straight from the bag, then add whatever requires zero prep: a scoop of jar salsa, a spoonful of leftover beans, a few avocado chunks if they’re cooperating. If you want meat, it’s whatever’s already cooked in the fridge.

You microwave it. You don’t preheat an oven. You don’t garnish with cilantro. You don’t apologize.

Because on National Lazy Day, nachos aren’t about presentation. They’re about speed, comfort, and not moving more than absolutely necessary. Melted cheese is the reward for doing as little as possible—and you’ve earned it.
