The Presentation
It’s Show and Tell at Work Day, which apparently means we’re all supposed to “bring something that inspires us.” Most people brought photos of their dogs, half-finished crochet projects, or plants they haven’t yet killed. I brought nachos.
I didn’t just show them — I presented them. Slide deck, bullet points, and all. Title: The Future of Cheese Management. My opening line: “Cheese isn’t just food — it’s a framework.” You could hear the silence of immediate regret ripple across the room, but I pushed on.
I spoke about scalability — how a single chip can support infinite toppings until it doesn’t. I highlighted the importance of structural integrity, emotional connection, and proper layering strategy. I even had a slide labeled CRM: Cheese Relationship Management. Someone asked if this was serious. I said all good ideas start that way.
By the end, people were nodding. Not out of understanding, but out of hunger. And maybe that’s enough. Because in every boardroom, every office, every meeting that could’ve been an email, there’s always room for a little melted optimism.
